The Ultimate Baseplate was designed for full compatibility with CORE’s SWX Nano Snap Style batteries, allowing batteries to mount and release magnetically as intended. Unlike CORE’s OEM plate, however, the Ultimate Baseplate attaches to your camera cage using an ARCA Swiss-style mount, allowing the entire baseplate to be installed or removed in seconds.
When a CORE Snap battery isn’t installed, the bottom of the plate becomes an incredibly versatile mounting surface. It features 25x 1/4"-20 threaded mounting points and 3x 3/8"-16 mounts with ARRI-style locating pin holes, allowing you to leave the baseplate on your rig and mount it directly to virtually any tripod or support system.
The Ultimate Baseplate also supports our Direct-to-Cage 15mm Rods at both the front and rear of the plate. Integrated mounting nubs at the front are compatible with our Dogbone Extenders, allowing the rods to be lowered for additional lens clearance without interfering with the Snap battery.
Best of all, the system is universal. It can move between XLCS cages or virtually any cage system from another manufacturer with an existing ARCA Swiss-style mount. If your cage doesn’t already have one, simply add an ARCA plate to the bottom of the cage.
